Self-Discipline
Self-discipline is the foundation of being able to keep and follow a schedule. If you are undisciplined, you will never follow a plan. You will continue to put things off that you know you want to do. You will continue to make excuses. You will likely never accomplish any of your goals because you lack self-discipline.
Self-discipline is more important than motivation. Someone could be highly motivated to do something but lack the discipline to do it. The person will never complete the objective. That is why self-discipline is the prerequisite to creating a schedule.
The good news is that you can develop self-discipline. You can break bad habits. You can learn good habits. Self-discipline is a good habit.
Productivity
When you are more self-disciplined, you will realize that you also become more productive. You will be more effective when you have a schedule. You follow your schedule. A plan will better help you to manage your time. It will help you finish the things you must do each day. You may see your productivity skyrocket with a schedule.
This is because you have set things for yourself that you must do each day. You can also schedule your week, month, and year. It is up to you how far out you want to plan. The medium and larger projects you need to finish require more planning.
You want to be as productive as you can each day. The higher your productivity. The more work and tasks you can get done. The more tasks you can finish. The sooner you can achieve your goals.
Getting Tasks Done
Productivity will help you to complete more tasks. You don’t need to drink a Red Bull or a quad-shot espresso to get things done. You can make a to-do list of the tasks you want to accomplish. This will help you to know what is on your schedule tomorrow. You can even plan further ahead to weekly and monthly for larger tasks. This will help you to become more organized and to manage your time better. Time management is another critical part of keeping and maintaining a schedule.

You can separate your day according to when you have the least and most energy. Another strategy is to break up your day when you are the least creative and most creative. It is up to you to determine what works best for you. Once you figure out a time management strategy, try your best to stick to it.
For example, if you have the least energy in the morning. You can do busy work in the morning, such as checking your emails, responding to emails, applying to affiliate programs, cleaning and organizing your computer, house, et cetera. This is the time to get the work that you hate doing out of the way. When you have more energy, you can work out in the afternoon. You can then do tasks that require more energy to do. These could be fixing something around the house. Running errands. Editing an article or book. Filming a YouTube video or recording a podcast. Then in the evening, when you are the most creative, start to write or finish a blog post. Creative cover photos for all of the content. Schedule all of the content. This is what my schedule often looks like. I have the most energy and creativity in the evenings.
