Eliminate Toxic People From Your Life
A toxic person is detrimental to you. Toxic people are emotionally manipulative. They manipulate you to get what they want or use you to their advantage.
Toxic people only hold you back. Toxic people make your life difficult. They waste your time. Common traits of toxic people include:
Emotional manipulation
Gaslighting
Lack of accountability
Encourage codependency
Create drama
Do you recognize any of these traits of people in your life? If so, you can decide how to deal with them. It is best to eliminate the person from your life. If it is a co-worker or someone, you must interact with, then find ways to reduce the amount of time spent with the toxic person.
One of my former friends gaslighted me. He would say that we were good friends. He would then proceed to treat me like crap. I only remained friends with him for so long because I thought he was telling the truth about our friendship. In reality, he was gaslighting me. One of my best decisions was to block him out of my life.
You want to avoid toxic people at all costs.
Live Below Your Means
Another great dull life decision is to live below your means. There is no reason to keep up with your friends, neighbors, or the Joneses’. The only person you compete with is yourself.
There is no reason to live beyond your means. The result of living beyond your means is that you go into debt.
Living within your means results in you having no money left to save. The result is that you cannot build up your savings or an emergency fund.
Living below your means allows you to have money left over. You can then save, build an emergency, and invest the money you have saved. You can build your nest egg because you decided to live below your means.

Cut Expenses (And Save The Rest)
Yet another boring choice is to cut your expenses to the bare minimum. You could do this to understand the minimum you must live on monthly. This could help you estimate the minimum amount for an emergency fund.
You could realize that you do not need as many things as society says. Many people confuse needs with wants. The five expenses that everyone must pay each month are shelter, food, transportation, utilities, and insurance. Anything else outside of those five is a want.
You can reduce the amount of money you spend on wants. You can then start to save to build your savings account and emergency fund. You could save some money you do not plan to use in a high-interest savings account. You can build up your emergency fund in a high-interest money market account.
